JOE HART has thanked Celtic fans for their concern after the goalkeeper took a nasty knock to the head in the opening minutes of Sunday’s game against Dundee Utd.
Joe made a magnificent save at 0-0, in the follow up Steven Fletcher caught Joe studs up on the top of his head.
The game was stopped for over five minutes as the Celtic physio team had to stem the bleeding from Hart’s head, eventually stapling him up. The goalkeeper had to change his shorts and top after blood got onto both.
The Celtic locker room leader continued for the rest of the match, watching his teammates rack up a 9-0 victory in a history making day at Tannadice.

After the game, many fans took to social media to express concern for the goalkeeper. There has been a lot of talks surrounding head injuries in football and protocols to protect players who take knocks like Joe did on Sunday.
The Hoops goalkeeper let everyone know he was feeling alright and made a point of praising his teammates.
Joe Hart, Celtic Leader
The Englishman continues to lead by example and be a real calming influence around a team with a lot of young players.
Hart is set to make his return to the Champions League with Celtic. It’s been a long time since he represented a club at this level. Joe may have thought his opportunity to play in the competition was over after his poor stint post Manchester City.
His time at Celtic has been outstanding.
