Joe Hart has expressed his emotions after being named Celtic’s captain in last nights Europa League tie. Hart made several impressive saves despite conceding four. Taking to Instagram, Hart captioned his story with this;

“Very proud to captain this special club tonight. Tough result but we will improve and keep moving forward together.”

The goalkeeper has presented himself very well during his time at Celtic, and he seems to be a leader in the dressing room – something much needed. The former English starting goalie has made many fans eat their words, many fans were disappointed with the signing thinking he simply had no future as a top keeper, but, recent performances have changed this and he now looks capable to win Celtic some crucial points this season.

On Thursday night, Hart was vocal, as always, between the sticks and his experience in Europe was certainly handy.

Ultimately, I believe Ange made the right choice in giving the privilege to Joe Hart to lead the side after it was declared that Callum McGregor would miss the game due to a knock he had picked up.
