Celtic star Joe Hart took to social media on Sunday to write a few words about his last few weeks and days as a professional goalkeeper.

The Englishman helped the team to a league and cup double and really kicked on after announcing he would be hanging up his gloves at the end of the season.

Saturday was the icing on the cake for the keeper who helped bring home the Scottish cup against our Glasgow rivals. The day belonged to Celtic, and after the final whistle the Hoops supporters showed their appreciation for the goalkeeper by chanting his name throughout the celebrations.

Joe has been a fantastic servant for the club, both on and off the pitch, and now as he walks off into the sunset he’s eternally grateful for his time in the Hoops.

While Joe sent out a thank you he did say he will be posting something in a few days after he’s collected his thoughts.

As memories from this weekend get further away, we will all have to adjust and refer to Joe as a former Celtic goalkeeper.

But right now, Celtic fans are just delighted to see him bow out on a high.
