Former Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart is set to join the BBC’s Match of the Day as a studio pundit for the upcoming season, the BBC has announced.

Hart, who retired from professional football, was part of Celtic’s squad that clinched three consecutive Scottish Premiership titles and a domestic double in his final season.
He was part of the history-making treble team under Ange Postecoglou, with Celtic picking up their 8th treble in their history.
His transition to television follows a successful stint with BBC Sport during Euro 2024 this summer.
“I’m very excited, very proud, and looking forward to growing into an incredible role on something that I grew up watching,” Hart said.
“I want to try and give back as much as I can from the career I’ve had and keep learning.
“I’m thrilled to be in an around an incredible set up, learning first and foremost in a new part of my life.”
Joe Hart became a beloved figure at Celtic Park during his three-year stay, where his performances helped solidify the club’s domestic dominance.
As the Premier League gears up for its return this weekend, Hart will bring his extensive experience and insights to one of the UK’s flagship football programs, Match of the Day.
It was already a popular show, but a few extra Celtic fans will tune in to watch their former number 1.
