‘Horrendous’ – Joe Hart Slams Awful Hampden Pitch

JOE HART was terrific between the sticks as Celtic booked themselves a place in the semi-final.

He’s come under criticism in recent weeks with his performances and mistakes at the back. But he was certainly at his very best on Saturday evening, making four great saves, which definitely helped Celtic get the much-needed win.

After the Celtic manager voiced his complaints about the pitch, Hart followed suit admitting the conditions were awful. He then praised his teammates after the exceptional effort gave Celtic the chance to win their third trophy since Ange Postecoglou took over.

Speaking to Celtic TV, Joe Hart said:

“It was tough tonight. Conditions weren’t great and that pitch is horrendous but we always find a way.

“It’s enjoyable playing in this team, the boys in front of me try their best to ensure I don’t have much to do but when I do have to do things I try my best to get there.

“As a squad, to make another final, it’s an exceptional effort from all of us.

“Every one of us has their own things to deal with and stuff on their plate but the minute we pull on this shirt we get out there and get the job done.”

Celtic fans will be keeping an eye on Sunday’s match at Hampden Park, with the winner of Aberdeen and The Rangers set to meet Celtic on the 26th of February.

It’ll be a great final, no matter who Celtic face as they try to defend the first trophy Ange Postecoglou won as Celtic manager.
