Former Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart thinks the Hoops are ‘ready’ for UEFA Champions League knockout football after commentating on their 0-0 draw with Dinamo Zagreb this evening.
The Hoops leave the Croatian capital frustrated after failing to really assert themselves in the game.
Although the Bhoys have now kept back-to-back clean sheets away from home in Europe, most fans feel frustrated at the severe lack of attacking intent on display this evening; Brendan Rodgers’ men mustered just a solitary shot on target throughout the match.
After the full-time whistle, Hart gave his verdict on the result and performance. The Englishman was asked whether it was a point gained or two dropped for his old team: “Definitely a bit of both, 100% a bit of both,” he said (live on TNT Sports).

While Hart acknowledged Celtic could’ve won the game, he thinks his old teammates are ready to play in the latter stages of the Champions League.
He said: “The whole job this campaign was to qualify, and they’re doing it really well.
“They look ready for knockout football.
“Exciting things to come.”
After racking up another point this evening, Celtic know a victory over Young Boys will secure their place in the Champions League’s last 16 play-offs.
The Swiss side have very much been the whipping boys of European football’s elite club competition and have yet to register any points in the league phase so far.
That game is far in the distance, and now, the Celts’ attention turns to Sunday’s colossal league cup final against Rangers at Hampden.
