Jeremie Frimpong Reacts To Celtic’s Title Win

Wednesday was a night to remember for Celtic supporters as their team ran out 5-0 victors at Rugby Park to secure a third consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

Goals courtesy of Adam Idah, Daizen Maeda, James Forrest and Matt O’Riley wrapped up the championship in style. Sheer footballing brilliance was on show from Brendan Rodgers’ side on a dusk evening in Ayrshire.

Arguably, it was the Bhoys’ best performance of the season and from afar, several former Celts have reacted to yet another league triumph. Indeed, one of the most notable to have done so is Jeremie Frimpong.

Currently at Bayer Leverkusen, the young Dutchman is flying, starring in a side that has won the Bundesliga for the first time in the club’s 120-year existence.

Frimpong could further etch himself into Leverkusen’s history books with two finals – the DFP-Pokal and Europa League – on the horizon.

Despite being on the verge of becoming an invincible treble winner, the 23-year-old has never forgotten his roots.

Reacting to Celtic’s title triumph on X, he simply wrote ‘Both champions, love it’:

A key summer lies ahead for Frimpong. Given his success with Leverkusen this season, one assumes several big clubs will be eyeing him up.

With Celtic possessing a healthy sell-on fee on any potential deal, the club will keep a close eye on proceedings.
