Jeffrey Schlupp Picks Up Two Winner’s Medals in One Weekend

Celtic loanee Jeffrey Schlupp has added another medal to his collection after Crystal Palace’s FA Cup success at the weekend.

The versatile player, who joined the Hoops on loan in January, featured for the Eagles earlier in the tournament and was therefore eligible to receive a winners’ medal.

He posted on Instagram:

Schlupp played 13 minutes in the third-round victory over Stockport County, a narrow 1-0 win that kickstarted Palace’s path to Wembley.

While he’s spent the second half of the season in Glasgow, contributing to Celtic’s title success and featuring in Europe, his early involvement in the cup run meant he was recognised as part of the squad’s success south of the border.

It’s a rare double for Schlupp, who now finds himself with major domestic honours in both Scotland and England this season. With Celtic chasing a domestic treble, his campaign could still end with another winner’s medal, although he will only pick up two of the three medals if Celtic are successful.

Celtic travel to Hampden Park to face Aberdeen next weekend, potentially 90 minutes away from a treble.

Schlupp’s future is up in the air. After showing some promise at Celtic in his first few matches, he’s fallen off, and Greg Taylor has worked his way back into the team. The Ghanaian’s contract at Palace expires at the end of the season, meaning he’s free to sign for anyone.
