Young Celtic fan Jay Beatty has WON SPFL Goal of the month for January after his half time heroics at Hamilton last month.

The SPFL entered wee Jay in the competition after Hamilton gave the young man a great day out when Celtic played Accies last month where he got to have a few shots on goal during the interval. He got a roar from the Celtic support as he hit the back of the net and ran of to celebrate in front of the fans.

Jay has been a fantastic ambassador for Celtic over the last couple of years. Being invited to many events at home and abroad. Sparking up a friendship with former Celtic striker Georgios Samaras that has lasted beyond the big Greeks Celtic stay.

Jay received a whopping 97% of the vote for goal of the month and will receive a trophy for his efforts.

A great gesture and what football should be about!
