The Japanese national team will go head-to-head with Alistair Johnston’s Canada on October 13th, followed by a game against Tunisia on October 17th, both matches taking place in Japan.

This is especially notable for Hatate, who had to miss the previous national team call-up due to an injury. His call-up this time indicates that showcasing a form that’s catching the attention of national team selectors, after failing to get selected for many squads over the past few years.

This accolade comes shortly after the midfielder solidified his commitment to Celtic by penning a new contract. His compatriots, Maeda and Kyogo, also reaffirmed their commitment to the Scottish club earlier in the summer by signing new contracts.

They’ve all been great signings by the club, and having them for the next few years is a massive boost for the side.
