Adam Idah has made a great impact at Celtic since he arrived on loan from Norwich City in the January window with fans discussing the potential of bringing the Irish striker in on a permanent basis.

Idah’s arrival was met with initial scepticism due to his limited playtime at Norwich City, but he has quickly silenced doubters with his performances.
Despite the initial controversy over his signing, Idah has demonstrated his quality, leading to a positive reassessment of his contribution.
James McFadden, speaking on Open Goal, highlighted this transformation in perception, noting, “Adam Idah comes in in January and everybody, all the Celtic fans, are like it’s a disgrace. It’s a disgrace bringing a player in that can’t get a game at Norwich and he’s come in and he’s been effective. He’s a level above because he’s got a good bit of experience.”
McFadden also addressed the potential cost of making Idah’s move permanent, suggesting that Celtic might not meet the previously speculated £6 million fee. “He’s a project as well I think he’s got development to do. But I think that his physicality, I don’t know if you would need to pay that much for him,” he said.
Initially, the signing of Idah, who was the third-choice striker at Norwich, was seen as a letdown, given the heightened expectations set by Brendan Rodgers prior to January. However, Idah has won over the Celtic fans and has become a fan favourite, making the case for securing his services permanently more compelling.
If Celtic can finalise Idah’s transfer for less than the anticipated £6 million, it would be considered a shrewd move by Brendan Rodgers. But it does go back to being a poor piece of business, if Celtic had inserted a buy clause at the time, they could’ve been looking at a smaller fee.
