Teams who tend to be successful in football have a large squad at their disposal with everyone constantly chipping in and playing their part.
Weeks ago, James Forrest looked as though he was one of the men on the fringes of that squad having not been given a start all season.
After managing to bag a goal against Ross County in the Premier Sports Cup in late August, he wasn’t given a chance to make any sort of impact until weeks later.
The 31-year old looked sprightly when he came on the pitch against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park which was followed by a decent showing against RB Leipzig days later when he was subbed on for Liel Abada.

He took everyone by surprise when he scored a hat-trick against Hibs to reach 100 goals for Celtic with the winger showing that he ain’t done yet.
Postecoglou was delighted for the Hoops legend who once again opened the scoring for the Scottish champions in the 4-3 thriller against Hearts at Tynecastle.
With captain Callum McGregor missing out the Celtic side for the match against Shakhtar, Postecoglou may be tempted to throw Forrest into the mix with the amount of experience he has at this level.

The manager has admitted that the group are inexperienced at this level, but Forrest has plenty of experience which he can add to the Celtic forward line tonight.
With the winger having scored four in his last two matches, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t start against Shakhtar tonight.
