JACKIE McNamara has tonight posted a heartfelt message to all the well wishers who have been willing on the former Celtic star during his recovery from a bleed on the brain.

The Celtic icon was found unconscious near his home in York and was rushed to hospital where he had to undergo emergency, life saving surgery.

The player pulled through in the subsequent days following the op and he is doing so well, Jackie was allowed to get home this weekend to continue his recovery.

Taking to social media, the former Celtic treble winner sent his thanks to everyone.

Jackie is still a huge part of the Celtic family and takes part in official and unofficial nights with the support. Last summer he took part in the Celtic festival at the SEC.
