Izaguirre Set for Bumper Saudi Deal

CELTIC is set to sell long-serving Emilio Izaguirre to Suadi side Al-Fayha after the two clubs agreeing a fee.

The left back, who joined Celtic in 2010 has been on the fringes of the team since Kieran Tierney burst onto the scene and made the position his own. The player did play his part in last season’s invincible side when the young left back was injured for over two months.

It’s been no secret that Izzy hasn’t been happy with limited game time and he was expected to leave a season back after Ronny Deila had left the building but the Brendan Rodgers opted to keep the defender at the time.

Celtic are now willing to let the Honduran go for a fee of just over £1million to Al-Fayha, who will also be giving Izzy a bumper contract.

The defender has been a great servant for Celtic, and we hope his new adventure works out for him.

He leaves with 6 League Titles, 3 Scottish Cups and 2 League Cups.

So long Emilio – Celtic loves you more than you will know.
