CELTIC have tonight confirmed the second SPFL derby of the season will take place on the 29th December at Ibrox with a 12:30 KO.
📆 Fixture Confirmation ✅
The @spfl has confirmed the following match has been selected for live coverage on @SkySports
Saturday 29 December, 2018
Rangers v #CelticFC
KO 12.30pm— Celtic Football Club (@CelticFC) September 28, 2018
With the fixture falling on the weekend between Christmas and New Year there was some ambiguity on what day it would get played with Sky Sports having the final call.
This means four days after Christmas the bhoys head to the bad side of town to hopefully continue their derby dominance.
Brendan Rodgers has enjoyed great success at Ibrox in recent years.
Last time out Celtic went down to 10 men at 2-2 but still came away with the victory after some magic from French Eddy.
There will be only 800 briefs available for Celtic fans at Ibrox after the Gers board unceremoniously cut the away allocation.
The visual of the whole Broomloan Road end being occupied by partying Celtic fans was too much to handle for some.
800 will do.
