FABRIZIO ROMANO has been the man in the know throughout Celtic’s pursuit of Carl Starfelt from Rubin Kazan.
The Swedish centre-back is at the top of Celtic’s transfer list and according to Romano, the deal is now done.
The transfer guru did admit the official announcement from Celtic will likely still be a few days away while they sort out everything but the deal is done.
Carl Starfelt will join Celtic on a permanent deal from Rubin Kazan, the deal is done and confirmed. No doubt. €5m fee for the centre back. ⚪️🟢 #Celtic
It’s gonna take some days for the official announcement to complete the process – but it’s done. 🏴🤝 https://t.co/8AK8dFaMlZ

Celtic have been on a roll with signing players over the past five days. We’ve watched Liel Abada sign for the club then Kyogo Furahashi followed by Bosun Lawal on Friday evening.
Carl looks like he’ll be the next man to come in and for big bucks. It’s likely Celtic are going to be using the money they get from the Kristoffer Ajer deal to make this one happen.
€5m is a lot for a club like Celtic to put down but we need first team ready players and Carl certainly falls into that bracket. He will likely be in the starting XI before too long and could form a partnership with Christopher Jullien when the Frenchman gets back from injury.
