‘It’s amazing’ – Celtic Star Says He’s Living the Dream

AARON MOOY has revealed that he watched the Champions League as a young boy and dreamed of playing at the top level for his club.

Since arriving at Celtic, he’s played twice in the Champions League, with both appearances coming from the bench.

The midfielder brings a calmness to the Celtic squad; when he’s brought on, he seems to control the game and settle things down. He’s a Rolls Royce of a footballer, and it’s clear to see why Ange was keen to reunite with the Aussie international.

The player is arguably playing some of the biggest games of his club career at the moment and has revealed it’s been a lifelong dream. As quoted by the Daily Record, Mooy said;

“Yeah, it’s amazing. I’m loving it. Every time they play the song. I always dreamed of hearing that music when I was playing. Even when I am coming on in the matches, it’s still an amazing feeling.

“You watch Champions League on the TV growing up and you hear the song and you think, ‘One day could you imagine playing in that’. But when you get on the field, you don’t think about it, you just think about playing football and doing what you do every day and every week.”

There have been some calls for the Aussie midfielder to start in Germany when Celtic face Leipzig. It would be great to have his presence in the team, especially from the start; however, to do that, you’d need to drop either Hatate or O’Riley, two of Celtic’s top performing players.

The captain is pretty much untouchable; it’s hard to see Ange drop Callum for a must not lose game in Germany.

Mooy will likely appear from the bench against Leipzig, coming on after the hour mark and cooling the game down.
