‘It’ll Be Massive’ – Adam Idah Eyes Celtic Treble Glory

Adam Idah is just one game away from completing a domestic treble in his first full season as a Celtic player. As the Irish striker prepares for Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen, he reflected on the potential landmark achievement and his journey since arriving at Celtic permanently.

Signed last summer for a reported £9 million following a successful loan spell, Idah has faced scrutiny throughout the season despite finishing the campaign with 20 goals in 52 appearances.

His early months brought mixed form and divided opinion among supporters, but the 24-year-old has found his rhythm in recent months, silencing critics with important goals during Celtic’s title and cup run-in.

Now, with the Premiership title and League Cup already secured, the former Norwich forward is within touching distance of a domestic treble.

He said: (Sky Sports), “It’ll be massive. It’s not happened yet, but for me personally, it’ll be a first treble in my career.

“That’s something I think any player in the world would want to achieve.

“It’s huge. Like I said, you do come to a club like Celtic if you want to win trophies.

“It’s another step forward now to try and clinch this.”

For any player, winning all three domestic trophies in one season is a huge deal. For Idah, it would be a big moment in his young career. At 24, he has already experienced the pressure and expectation that comes with playing for Celtic. It has not always been easy, but he has worked hard to improve and grow into the role. At times this season, he has led the line well. His strength and movement have been important, and his goals have helped Celtic stay strong towards the end of the season.

Some fans weren’t sure about him early on. The big price tag added pressure. There were games where he struggled to make an impact. But credit to him, he didn’t let the criticism get to him. He kept working, kept believing, and now he’s showing why Celtic trusted him with a long-term deal. His recent performances have been sharp until St Mirren, and he looks confident going into Saturday’s final.

Winning a treble would be a dream ending to the season for Idah. It would also answer some of the questions people had earlier in the season. More than just a goal scorer, he’s become an option up front and has shown he can handle the pressure that comes with being a Celtic striker.

Saturday’s match is about more than just a trophy. It’s a chance for Idah to make his mark in Celtic’s history and show he belongs at this level. If he can help Celtic lift the cup at Hampden, he’ll finish the season not just as a treble winner, but as a player who proved himself when it counted most.
