Italian side Fiorentina has reportedly joined the race for Celtic target Aaron Hickey.

As reported by the Daily Record, according to Italian outlet La Nazione the Serie A side are also targeting the Bologna left-back, who has been subject to heavy interest from the Hoops.

Late last night, reports suggested Celtic were getting closer to completing a move (Read More) that would see the full-back return to Scotland after just a year spent abroad.

Now though, if these fresh reports are to be believed, it won’t be that simple to secure the deal, and the Hoops could be in for a transfer battle.

Celtic and Ange Postecoglou are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements going into next season, so they will be looking to add to positions such as left-back as soon as possible.

The next few days should be telling whether we will be successful in our pursuit for the 19-year old or not.
