Italian Job for Jozo – Defender in Turin Ahead of Move

CELTIC DEFENDER Jozo Simunovic could be set to pull the curtain down on his short and injury plagued Celtic career with a move to Italian side Torino.

The news broke late this afternoon that the player who had came out just a few weeks ago denying he was set to leave was in Italy undergoing a medical.

The defender has found fitness hard to come by and he’s been on Torino’s radar before he moved to Celtic from Zagreb for a fee of £2.8million (not £5million as previously reported at the time)

It has been reported that Torino would PREFER an initial loan deal for the 6ft 4″ defender but Celtic are pushing for a full transfer.

That’s if he manages to pass a medical!
