With Kyogo Furuhashi the sole recognised striker at Celtic right now, the club’s need to sign one or two centre-forwards this summer is coherent.
Oh Hyeon-gyu left for Genk a few weeks ago and recently, there has been no progress on the Adam Idah front amid exaggerated speculation.

Brendan Rodgers made it clear at the end of last season that he wanted to sign the Irishman permanently, but the Hoops have since had a bid rejected for the player by Norwich.
Now, interest from Italy in Idah has emerged. According to a report from TeamTalk, Fiorentina and Hellas Verona are ready to rival Celtic for the 23-year-old’s signature over the next few weeks.
Given his impact on loan in Glasgow last term, the Hoops permanently acquiring Idah’s services seems sensible.
The centre-forward was the ideal competition to Kyogo, providing a completely different dynamic to the Japanese frontman.
It remains to be seen whether a deal will be done for Idah between now and the summer’s end.
