‘It Was a Brutal’ – Ange Opens Up on Celtic Media Blitz

ANGE POSTECOGLOU used to international break as a chance to go to Australia and promote his come coming tour set to take place in November.

The manager took part in multiple interviews, from sit down chats with Craig Foster to appearing on chat shows. The nations seems to be excited to welcome Ange’s Celtic side to the country during the World Cup.

The manager was keen to remind the journalists, that included CeltsAreHere, who were in attendance at Friday’s press conference that he didn’t use this time as a holiday and revealed that the trip was “brutal”.

“It was great. Just to clear up any misunderstanding; it wasn’t a holiday, it was a brutal trip. It was great, there’s genuine excitement and enthusiasm. Obviously, my own connection, but with the football club in general.

“It was good to get across all the media platforms and to talk about the upcoming games. There’s a great enthusiasm. It works out to be a great time of the year, in a country like Australia where there are multiple sports and people’s priorities and where their attention goes can some times get divided.

“When we’re there most of the other winter sports are finished, World Cup is on the doorstep. Their attention will be on football and with us being there it’ll be a good time and it will be a good couple of games for us.”

While Ange was 9,433 miles away, many players remained at Lennoxtown looking to build up their match fitness. Oliver Abildgaard was one of them, and could be in contention to make his Celtic debut against Motherwell on Saturday.

The Celtic side are looking to bounce back from their loss against St Mirren, which feels like an eternity ago.
