Celtic thrashed Aberdeen by six goals to nil on Sunday afternoon. Goals for the Bhoys came from all over the park as several players got in on the act.
Before kick-off, however, there was a period of silence to remember people who have died in conflicts around the world. Inside Celtic Park, though, it wasn’t obeyed.
There has been widescale criticism of this, although Neil Lennon has defended the Parkhead faithful. He said (PLZ Soccer): “So, I don’t know if this has been blown out of proportion, but you know Celtic fans make their points when it comes to anything involving the British Army of the Royal Family and for me that is their right to do that.”

Everyone has the right to free speech but many label it distasteful to sing or make noise during a moment of remembrance. Everyone, however, are all completely entitled to their opinions which are all understandable for numerous reasons.
Neil Lennon knows the inner workings of the support and how many feel. The Irishman has an in depth perspective and in a good position to comment.
