If ever there was an indication of a club and support base who are so confident in what they can do/achieve while no football is being played, look no further than Kenny Miller.
Celtic have again swept all domestic trophies for the fifth time in seven seasons – leaving the Ibrox club playing the Z list villain in a terrible to show. The cries of ‘we’ll get you next time’ echoing into the night sky.
Ange Postecoglou’s departure has given our rivals a sense of optimism, however, if you had believed them before Ange’s exit, they weren’t scared of the big bad Australian anyway.
In today’s column, Kenny Miller says it doesn’t matter who becomes the manager of the current treble champions as the Ibrox club are about to basically blow us away.
“It doesn’t matter who becomes Celtic’s next manager. They’ll be facing a different animal across the city next season. I genuinely believe that. There’s something special brewing at Rangers. And in terms of a title race? Even now, I can see it being one of the tightest ever,” Miller wrote in his Daily Record column.
Where do they get this stuff from? It’s the same kind of rhetoric you hear about them being the most successful club, and all that chat about ‘natural order’.

It’s all bravado that’s rarely backed up.
Indeed it does matter who will be leading their greatest rivals next season, it matters a lot. You would think they just came off winning a treble themselves and the juggernaut is rolling on.
They are the chasers, the runners up, the perennial losers in Celtic’s story. A pandemic and empty stadiums the only real antidote for their short comings.
We expect a good fight for the title this year, and we hope it’s exciting, but even as we site here, utterly dominant, we’re not going over the top.
These Ibrox cheerleaders only really serve to whip their fan base up into a frenzy, like they did last season, only to see it all fall apart.
Whoever the next Celtic manager is going to be will have a profound affect on the title race, like it or not, Kenny.
