Is Celtic Star Taking his Chance to Impress Brendan Rodgers?

Bosun Lawal seems like he’s starting to turn heads at Celtic, particularly catching the eye of manager Brendan Rodgers in this preseason.

His performance last week against Ayr, where he was part of the second-half squad, clearly made an impression. Now, starting in midfield against Queens Park, Lawal has another significant opportunity to prove his worth and stake a claim for more regular inclusion in the team.

Originally sent on loan to gain experience, Lawal seems to be on a path similar to that of Liam Scales, who managed to work his way into the first team after a successful loan.

There have been some reports suggesting that Lawal could be sent out on loan again, but if he continues to take the chances Brendan Rodgers is giving him he could emulate Liam Scales’ achievements from last term. [Irish Independent]

If Lawal can continue to impress, especially in versatile roles, he could very well secure a more permanent spot in Rodgers’ plans for the upcoming season.
