It looks like Jonny Hayes WILL miss Celtic’s first Champions league qualifier after the Irishman limped off at the weekend.
The midfielder is just back from a six-month lay-off but is unlikely to see action in any of Celtics two legs against Alashkert due to picking up a thigh strain.
Hayes was hopeful of hitting the ground running this season for the bhoys but will now have impatiently wait before playing his part.
There is some good news for Celtic on the injury front, however, with Moussa Dembele Shaking off a knee injury to be in contention for the Champions League.
The Frenchman is also likely to play in Celtic’s pre-season friendly this afternoon.
