Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has come in for high praise of his ‘keeper Joe Hart. It comes after the gaffer admitted there will be talks held near the summer about the future of the Hoops’ number one.
Currently, we sit at the halfway mark in the 2023/24 season and up until this point, Hart has started almost every game for Celtic. Rodgers was recently full of acclaim for the stopper: “Joe’s family is down south so he has shown incredible commitment to be up here”, he said (Football Scotland). “Joe’s had a long career and I love being with him every day. He has a real positive energy and has been a great leader for this team.”

For the club, there is no denying that the Englishman has been a terrific servant. Few would have expected Hart to have made over 130 appearances for The Bhoys when he joined two and a half years ago.
Prior to his signing, Celtic had many troubles with the goalkeeping position but quickly, Hart washed them away. Some supporters, however, believe now is time for an upgrade on the Premier League-winning player.
He is somewhat getting on in age which is a concern, but there is no getting away from what he has given to Celtic. Rodgers is clearly a fan, but it seems as though we will have to wait a while yet for a concrete update regarding his future.
