Celtic have been deep in talks with Steven Fletcher over a deal which will see the veteran striker sign on at Celtic Park but the news from in the know journalist, Steven McGowan is the deal isn’t done yet.
There’s been a mixed response from supporters since the news broke but the possibility of a deal looks likely.
Fletcher has made it known to friends he wants to sign for Celtic and Neil Lennon is keen to bolster his attack.

The first man to bring this potential move to light on social media was Tam McManus, a friend of Steven from their days at Hibernian together. On Wednesday night, McManus was convinced a deal was close.
Steven Fletcher is edging towards a deal at Celtic. Talks are ongoing. Only stumbling block possibly the length of contract but I think it will get done. He wants to sign for Celtic as I said a week or two ago. Certainly if money was a factor he would be staying in England.

If Bayo moves on like many expect the player to do, it would open up a space for Steven to come in and do a job.
He would by no means be a starter but could have an impact with so many games to be played and no winter break this year.
As it stands, no deal has been confirmed yet and we’ll keep you up to date with any latest developments either on the site or on our social media channels.
