Celtic Park has a new bar! With the Kerrydale suite cut off to allow more VIP tickets to be sold, the club have today opened the new bar in the Southwest corner of the Jock Stein stand for punters.

Thew new bar boasts 16 televisions, with memorabilia on display and will be open before matchdays for supporters to get a drink.

We knew the bar was in the pipeline, but we had no idea it was close to opening. Punters who are already at the stadium for the Champions League game against Leipzig can go in and check the place out. It’s where the old gym was situated.

 Fans have been pushing the club to have more supporter friendly places to go in the lead up to the game and make it seem like a full day out rather than just being there for the football.

The new bar is very welcome, but there’s still lots more that could be done. The fan zones outside the stadium where kids can enjoy entertainment and games would also be something worth going back to.
