‘I’m told the hierarchy want him’ – Pundit Makes Celtic Board Claim

TALKSPORT host and Celtic fan Alan Brazil has told his listeners what he has been ‘told’ about the current state of play regarding the full time Celtic manager position.

The football pundit was discussing Neil Lennon’s chances of getting the job after his stint as interim manager and Brazil is a big advocate of this.

Speaking about the Irishman on his Morning TalkSport show he revealed he’s heard the board are keen to appoint Lennon.

“I’m told the hierarchy want him but that a lot of the fans don’t. And I can’t understand that, he’s got a great record. It’s a puzzle to me.” Brazil admitted on Monday morning.

Celtic fans have been split over a potential full time Lennon return. Many fans want to see the club try to be as ambitious as possible with their appointment after having Brendan Rodgers for two and a half years. There’s a sentimentality to wanting Neil to get the job on a permanent basis but this must be taken out of the equation when the decision is being made.

There is one more game to go then we are likely to find out within the next week or two who the board have chosen.
