BERAM KAYAL left Celtic for Brighton in January 2015 but the player himself has never emotionally left the club after spending five years at Celtic Park.
The Israeli midfielder is now playing in the Premier League but he’s not forgotten where his journey in the UK started with back in 2010 under Neil Lennon.
Kayal joined the club at just 22 and went onto make 123 appearances for the bhoys scoring three goals in the process.
Getting on the scoresheet was never Kayal’s strong suit and he was tasked with the kind of stuff Scott Brown does for Celtic nowadays – break up the play and get the ball to the more creative stars.
Kayal was riding high at Celtic once upon a time but then a cowardly tackle by Lee McCulloch stopped the star’s momentum.
The player would be out for over four months and after that could never find the consistency to be a regular in the side.
Since then the midfielder has gone on to earn promotion with Brighton and is now a Premier League star.
But he admits he still holds a special place in his heart for Celtic.

Kayal came up against some Celtic players when his country beat Scotland 2-1 in the Nations League last week.
There is a return date at Hampden to come, a place Kayal will know pretty well.
