It’s all about Celtic some might say.

The Hoops were sent crashing out of the Champions League on Wednesday night to Danish side Midtjylland. A patched up Celtic side failed to overcome the bang average Danes and got what they deserved after months of neglect by the decision makers at our club.

 

Rival fans are always going to take pleasure in our pain but rarely do we see the club itself get involved. Such is the obsession across the city, they felt the need to get their wee dig in at Celtic.

The Ibrox club posted their goal of the day and by coincidence it was a goal against Midtjylland the last time they played the Danes.

For years, we’ve heard the word obsessed thrown around by the other lot, this is peculiar behaviour but certainly speaks to their mindset. It’s harmless banter to be honest and makes a change from some of the horrible things that make it onto our social media timelines.

Celtic absolutely lorded it over them for so long they can’t help but get involved when things aren’t going our way.

When Celtic were beating Barcelona in the Champions League and winning titles, I can assure you, I wasn’t giving their club a second thought.

Ultimately, we’re open to ridicule because of the custodians of our club have got it so badly wrong.
