BARRY Ferguson has identified his top contenders for Player of the Season, with Celtic star Kyogo leading the pack.

Furuhashi is tantalizingly close to hitting the 30–goal mark, currently sitting at 29, and will be looking to add to that tally in the upcoming matches.
The former Rangers player also included other worthy candidates in the form of Aberdeen‘s Duk, Motherwell striker Kevin van Veen and St Mirren ace Mark O‘Hara.
However, the pundit has insisted it’ll be between Kyogo and Callum McGregor, with the two players pivotal in their team’s success so far this season.
Ferguson believes that Kyogo’s consistent performances this season will see him edge out Callum McGregor, and he is likely to surpass the 30–goal mark, making him a worthy winner of the award.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Ferguson said:
“My four, I‘m going Kyogo and McGregor and I think there could be a couple of surprises from other teams.
“You‘ve got to look at Duk, Kevin van Veen and even the boy [Mark] O‘Hara at St Mirren.
“I‘ve seen O‘Hara a number of times and he‘s gone up a level or two recently – he might be one St Mirren struggle to hold onto. But it‘s going to come down to Kyogo or Callum McGregor.
“I think Kyogo will get over 30 goals this season and he‘s been so consistent – he‘ll pip Callum McGregor for Player of the Year.”
