Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has strongly advocated for Celtic to secure Adam Idah permanently if the price is right, suggesting a fee of around £5 million would be a bargain.

However, it looks like it could be difficult to get the Irish striker for that fee. His contributions at Celtic, coupled with his goals on the international stage have led to new Norwich gaffer Johannes Hoff Thorup keen to have a closer look at the striker in pre-season.
As CeltsAreHere understood, the Canaries were looking for a fee of £6 million, but that was before Adam Idah had finished his successful loan spell at Celtic, where Brendan Rodgers described him as a catalyst for the club’s success towards the end of the season.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Podcast, Lennon praised the Republic of Ireland striker’s potential and impact, highlighting his recent performances for both club and country.
“I would do that one [bring Idah in on a permanent deal]. Absolutely. There’s room for improvement but he’s got great attributes.
“I think he’s improved. I think the conference he’s had from playing for a big club has improved him already.
“I saw him score again the other night for Ireland with a great header.
“I think he’s had a huge impact coming off the bench. And I think he’s young enough that there’s huge potential in him to bring him on.
“So if we could get him for £4m or £5m I would definitely do that one.”
It’s no secret that Celtic are keen to bring the striker back to Parkhead next season, but whether they will be able to is another story.
