I Needed to Play – Erik Sviatchenko Lifts Lid on Loan Move

ERIK SVIATCHENKO has lifted the lid on how his loan move to FC Midtjylland came about in an exclusive interview with CeltsAreHere.com

The 26-year-old made the move back to Denmark this week after falling out of favour at the club.

Speaking on how the move came about it all came down to one thing – playing football.

Not getting the game time at Celtic after recovering from an injury, the Danish defender was keen to ensure he can keep developing and approached the club about a potential move.

“It’s very natural for players to seek a move elsewhere when they aren’t playing week in and out.

“I thought that I needed to be doing that again so we spoke together, the club and I, and a mutual agreement was to get me some game time.”

“It’s always frustrating not to be playing and that’s why I made a decision”

You can catch the rest of Erik’s interview with CeltsAreHere.com tomorrow! The defender talks about life at Celtic, transitioning between Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers and if he’ll be back to fight for his place!
