It has been a day of putting a certain team at Ibrox in their place and one man who went onto social media to show his delight was former Ibrox youth player Liam Burt who recently signed for Celtic on a two-year deal.

Burt kept it simple with his tweet after watching his new team do the business in his old backyard.

Liam had been coming through the ranks at Murray Park (ooops, not supposed to call it that) but was let go in the summer only for his boyhood heroes to bring him home.

Instead of toeing the line and being diplomatic, Liam was happy to declare his love for Celtic as they went clear at the top of the SPFL.

Celtic were painted as underdogs but they put Steven Gerrard’s men to the sword and Neil Lennon outthought his counterpart in the dugout.

It finished 2-0 with goals from Edouard and Hayes.
