Davie Provan has told Celtic fans he expects Dedryk Boyata to be sold this summer which will leave Celtic in the black with regards to transfers.
The former Parkhead star bemoaned the club’s lack of spending and believed they will sell Boyata – who’s on the last year of his contract, to effectively make their money back on their Edouard outlay.
He said: “Look, the signing of Edouard should be applauded. It’s an overdue sign of ambition.
“But if you factor in Stuart Armstrong’s £7m move to Southampton and Erik Sviatchenko’s return to Denmark, Celts are out by not very much.
“If, as expected, Dedryck Boyata is sold, Pistol Pete will be back in profit again.“
