ANGE POSTECOGLOU wasn’t too harsh on his goalkeeper Joe Hart after his calamitous error ended Celtic’s chances of a result in Leipzig.
The game was sitting at 1-1 and Celtic had just got a massive let off with VAR when Joe passed it straight to a Leipzig player just outside his area. Silva didn’t need a second invitation and put the ball beyond Joe giving the home side the lead.
While Ange might not have focused in on Joe, his comments after the game were actually more scathing of the whole Celtic team.
The Celtic manager accused them of being in ‘survival mode’ rather than trying to play on the front foot after the game went to 1-1.
Ange believes if Joe hadn’t made the mistake, it would have been someone else in the side who would have let their guard drop.

The Celtic manager will be frustrated with the result. He’s looking to chip away at the Champions League, two defeats and a draw so far isn’t the best.
However, there are two games at home now to really have a go and see what the team can do. Leipzig is due at Celtic Park in mid-October. The fans getting behind the team could give them that extra jolt of impetus.
Celtic are counting the costs of their Champions League defeat on Wednesday evening, with captain Callum McGregor a major doubt for the return leg at this moment in time. We’ll keep you updated on his injury status as we get it.
