FORMER MOTHERWELL boss Graham Alexander has paid Ange Postecoglou and Celtic the ultimate compliment by declaring this current side go beyond tactics.
During his spell with the Steelmen, Graham simply couldn’t find a way to beat Ange’s side. The manager revealing he tried serveal ways to stop the relentless onslaught from Celtic. Each and every time they came up short.
Speaking to Sky Sports as cited by RecordSport, Alexander explained Celtic had an answer for anything he threw at them.
He said: “It’s hard to look at their record, 25 wins out of 27 league games and to see if that’s going to halt up anytime soon. I can’t see it myself, I don’t think anyone who’s seen Celtic play over a consistent period since the manager has been there can say they are going to drop their form and lose points. It looks extremely difficult for anyone to catch them.

“It was the only team that we couldn’t get points against. We drew with Rangers three times and beat everybody else but Celtic where the ones we couldn’t find a way against.
“We pressed them really hard, we sat really deep, we played mid-block but they have the individuals to go beyond tactics. You can defend deep or press them but they’ve got those good one v one players that can can break lines and play in tight spaces and ultimately win games and score goals.”
Celtic have been on a rich run of form. Opposition managers and players have complimented the side for how good they are and can be.
Ange wants to win, but he wants to do it in the right way. Giving his attacking players licence to get creative and problem solve on the pitch as the game unfolds.
Most weeks Celtic come up against the lowest low low blocks. Teams hoping to strike it lucky like St Mirren did earlier this season. However, no matter what most clubs try, they’ve suffered the same fate as Alexander and his former ‘Well side.
The bhoys have eleven games still to play with a nine point advantage. Add to that the goal difference and it’s virtually an extra point on the board.
Hoops fans are hoping the team can finish the season in style.
