Hoops Winger Shved Continues Incredible Mechelen Comeback

MARIAN SHVED has continued his resurgence for Mechelen by grabbing a goal and an assist during the first have of their tie against Waasland-Beveren.

The Belgian club leads 2-0 at the break with the on-loan Celtic winger having a massive say.

An assist first for his team-mate Sandy Walsh in the 9th minute followed up by what the official club account described as a ‘delicious lob’.

Shved had been written off earlier this season for having a bit of an ego problem but since being called out publicly by his manager, the Celtic player hs put his head down and done the work. It’s now paying off for the winger and his loan club.

With so much upheaval expected at Celtic this summer, there’s absolutely a chance for Shved to make a name for himself in the final few months of this season and then come back to Celtic looking to make his mark.

It’s the only excitement Celtic fans are probably getting at the moment, seeing young players with potential doing well elsewhere who could yet have a say in the club’s future.

It’s a long shot if Neil Lennon remains but if a new boss comes in this summer, Marian could feature.

UPDATE: Mechelen conceded two in the second half before Marian Shved grabbed a late winner!
