Hoops Legend Calls Out Celtic Man for Poor Form

TOM ROGIC has found it tough to perform since the turn of the year. Starting the season so strongly, he has fallen away in recent games.

The midfielder was brilliant with Australia during the last international break but has struggled to meet the same level since he has returned.

The Celtic side looks a lot better with Matt O’Riley playing the position which Rogic started in at Easter Road.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, the former Celtic goalie said;

“Daizen Maeda will run but somebody has to feed the ball to him. That didn’t happen today.

Tom Rogic has not been the same player since going out to Australia in January time. I think he’s gone away, it’s a helluva trip out there, and it takes it out of you.

“He’s come back and he didn’t play, then he’s come on and he’s just lost his edge.

Today the pitch didn’t help him, there’s no doubt about that. From that perspective, McGregor was their key player.

Hatate didn’t really play today, he struggled on the pitch also with balls going away from him.

“But there was just a lack of someone taking a grip of the game and going for it.”

I don’t think Hatate was poor; I thought he struggled to stand out.

Maeda’s movement is superb, but it can go unnoticed. If his teammates see his runs and play him through, he would be getting an easier time than he is now.

Rogic has been a passenger for the last couple of games. Celtic can’t afford to allow players to contribute anything at this stage in the season.

A period out of the team may be best for the playmaker. After all, he has played a lot for Celtic this season, often completing the entire match, and the minutes could be catching up to him.
