Michael Beale had again tried to discredit Celtic and their results this season. The Ibrox boss now claiming the 4-0 victory against his club in September was down to ‘key moments’ in the game.
Celtic dominated the match and could have won more than 4-0 on the day. It was a comprehensive victory and we’ll deserved. Not according to Beale, who then claims if Fashion Sakala scored at Celtic Park last season, history could have been different.
The Englishman this time referring to the game between the two clubs when Celtic were flying towards retaining their title.
“We [QPR] had a game later that afternoon, so I watched it live, kicking every ball.” Beale told SunSport.
“I was very frustrated that day. The key moments went against Rangers.
“Late last season I remember Fashion Sakala going through one-on-one in the 85th minute. If that had gone in, history could have been slightly different.
“It didn’t and obviously since then Celtic have had the upper hand.

“That came after Rangers winning a semi-final against Celtic, so it isn’t too long ago these two squads played and Rangers got the upper hand.”
That semi final he’s referring to is when ‘key moments’ went against Celtic. Finishing the game with a right back at left back and a centre back at right back.
It’s just more bluster from a man who just continues to talk. He was part of a coaching staff that watched Celtic win two trebles in a row. The only trophy he won was the title where nobody witnessed a kick of the ball live all season. Even with Celtic in meltdown, they could only manage the one trophy.
The idea of Beale coming in and not being ridiculed by the press for some of the absurd things he’s coming away speaks volumes.
Had Ange said half the stuff Beale has come away with when he first took over at Celtic, there would have been a queue to call him out.
Celtic go to Ibrox in good form and knowing whatever happens on the day, they’ll remain top of the pile. If Beale thinks key moments going against them is what cost them a 4-0 doing last time out, then more power to him
