Young winger Lewis Dobbie has left Celtic to join East Kilbride on a permanent deal.
The 19-year-old played for Celtic’s B Team last season and had a good run in front of goal. He scored 13 times in 24 Lowland League games, and made 26 appearances in all competitions. His form caught the eye, and now he’ll continue his career in League Two with East Kilbride.

Dobbie also played for Celtic in the UEFA Youth League, getting a taste of European football during his time at the club. But with chances at the top level hard to come by, the forward has decided to move on and find regular first-team football elsewhere.
East Kilbride are trying to grow as a club and have hopes of playing in the Scottish Championship one day.

They’ve been building their squad with young players, and Dobbie fits that plan well. The move gives him a fresh start and a chance to play every week at senior level.
Celtic have seen a number of their young players leave in recent seasons.
The Academy still plays a big role in developing talent, but not every player makes the jump to the first team. Many go on to have strong careers at other clubs, and Dobbie will now aim to do the same.
His time at Celtic gave him a solid grounding, and now he’ll look to take the next step with East Kilbride.
The move brings another chapter to a close at Lennoxtown as the club continues to shape its B Team and Academy system.
