No sooner had a journalist from the Middle East claimed Mohanad Ali was close to signing for Celtic, Scottish journo Stephen McGowan has rubbished the claim.

It was on social media this evening @rawanahali stated Celtic were closing in on the 19-year-old Iraq international but McGowan who has plenty of contacts inside Celtic Park has moved to quickly dismiss it.

Celtic signed Patryk Klimala earlier this window and with Eddy, Griff and Bayo on the books the club are full up on forwards. Add Jonathan Afalobi in developmental to that list.

As transfer rumours go, that was probably one of the quickest ones this window to appear and then to be dispelled.

In a week it will all be over and Celtic fans can judge the business Celtic have done.

The bhoys are back in action on Saturday against Ross County where Klimala could make his home debut.
