“He’s not allowed to go” – Barry Robson responds to Miovski exit rumours

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson has made it clear that he has no plans to let Bojan Miovski leave the club, especially given the striker’s crucial role in the team’s performance.

Miovski’s impressive form, marked by 14 goals this season, has made him a key player for Aberdeen and attracted attention from bigger clubs, including Celtic.

He added two to his tally last night as Aberdeen came from a goal down to defeat Martindale’s Livingston, who Celtic are to face this weekend.

Robson’s post-match comments following Miovski’s two-goal performance against Livingston underline his desire to retain the Macedonian striker. He stressed Miovski’s importance in Aberdeen’s strategy and his effective partnership with teammates.

As quoted by Football Scotland, he said, “There’s more to come from the lad. We could see when he came in there were things to improve on but he’s built a good relationship with Duk and Ester Sokler. He’s doing really well. He’s always enjoyed the way we want to play on the transition.

“We want to find him all the time and it suits him. We’ll just have to say to Dave (Cormack, chairman) he’s not allowed to go. There is a model at this club and we’ve signed a lot of good players.

“We’re a good team when we’re at it and with Bojan and others who perform well in big European games, people look at that. We want him to stay as long as he can and hopefully he’ll be here for a good bit longer.”

So, it seems, if Celtic want Miovski, they’re going to have to pay big with it clear the Dons have no intention of selling. He’s rated highly and his impressive form this season is going to keep adding to his value.
