Hearts are rumoured to have not sold out their home allocation for the game against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
After the Gorgie club made a big statement about cutting Celtic’s allocation to just 600, they’re not getting the sort of up fronts as they’d like from their own base.
One of the reasons they may be finding it difficult is the higher bar for members of their ticketmaster site to buy a ticket for the game.

When we checked the site earlier this evening, it stated any one wanting a ticket would need to have +15 points accrued before being eligible. Presumably to allow the regulars who aren’t season ticket holders to get first dibs. This is also being reported on by videocelts.
The club will hope to see a late dash for tickets. It would look ridiculous to see 600 Celtic fans in a corner while there were plenty of other spaces across the ground. We know if Celtic fans were given 1000, they’d sell the tickets, 2k, 3k plus – no problem.
The rules as they stand mean clubs can effectively set their own number of visiting fans. There will be a vote this summer to perhaps change the rules.
If football fans are locked out of games while there are empty seats, surely we have to look at it.
