Hearts Release Celtic Statement

HEARTS have begrudgingly given Celtic a bumper 3,700 ticket away allocation for the Scottish Cup quarter final tie – releasing a statement this evening.

In recent times, the Tynecastle club has slashed the number of Celtic supporters allowed through the turnstiles, but due to Scottish Cup rules, they’ve had to hand over 20% of the available spectator capacity of the ground.

The rule states the home club must hand over 20% if the away club requests it. Celtic have clearly requested the full entitlement.

Celtic are looking to get to the semi-final of the competition by going through Hearts, but it won’t be easy. The bhoys were probably handed the toughest tie of the round.

At least the players know they’ll be backed by a sizeable support. The match is scheduled for March 11th with a 12:15KO.

The bhoys have dominated the competition over the past six years but fell at the semi-final hurdle last season. An extra time defeat to Rangers saw them bow out of the competition. Ange and the bhoys will want to put that right.
