‘He will go down as one of the great legends of this club’ – Rodgers’ High Praise

SCOTT BROWN will break a record set by Celtic Legend Kenny Dalglish tonight as he becomes the Scot with the most European appearances.

The Celtic captain has currently matched the record with Kenny but tonight’s game against Anderlecht will push him onto 69 games – surpassing the former Celtic and Liverpool star.

The Celtic manager is delighted for him and hopes Scott has many more appearances in him at this level

 

“Whenever the time comes, and it won’t be for a few years yet, he will go down as one of the great legends of this club,” admitted Rodgers

“He is still creating the legend and he still has a lot to achieve here. It’s when you’re gone and your time has passed, that’s when you get truly appreciated and I think that will be the case with him.
