NEIL LENNON has claimed Edouard made it clear to him at the start of last season he seen his future away from Celtic and would have been one of the players Neil Lennon targeted during his infamous rant after last season’s Champions League exit.
The Irishman claimed the player was quietly temperamental and is clear on his path out of Celtic:
Speaking to TalkSport, as reported by the Daily Record, Neil Lennon said:
“He’s French though, so he can be a bit temperamental in a quiet sort of way.
“But he’s a wonderful player. Celtic will do very well to keep his services for next year.
“He made it clear at the start of last season that he saw his future somewhere else, but we will see.”
I have no idea what being French has to do with the striker being temperamental to be honest. However, I don’t think Neil Lennon is telling us anything we didn’t already know.
Eddy’s performances last season looked like a man who had his head elsewhere at times, although the striker was still the top scorer for the club.
Edouard is still looking for his move away and is in the final year of his contract with the Hoops.
It’s in everyone’s best interests for a deal to be done this summer.
