Kieran has been in training for well over a week after two months out with a hip problem. However, his lack of game time is an issue and Brendan Rodgers believes the player needs minutes in order to get back to his best.

The player looked up to speed with his teammates in training and was all smiles as he was put through his paces. The biggest indication he could be set for a surprise comeback against Valencia.

Tierney’s last game for Celtic was in mid-December against Salzburg when it was clear the player was carrying an injury.

The left-back will be desperate to play.
